PLAYING WITH FIRE

Antonia Lynn

4 December

The fires at the centre of the earth sustain the planet's life-giving motion; in God's fiery love at our deepest core we 'live and move and have our being'. A day for deep and playful exploration of that love using words, images and movement, to find the One who kindles the fire within us, however we might name the One.

Antonia is a spiritual director, supervisor, workshop facilitator and trainer who comes from a background of parish ministry and hospital chaplaincy. She enjoys using poetry, music, and imagery in her ministry.

THE TASTE OF SILENCE

Briji Waterfield

11 December

We miss the silence that permeates every atom of our existence hearing only the discordant noise of our environment and our psyches. The day will be noisy and quiet - reflective periods with the mystics, awareness exercises, conversation and silent meditation – so as to appreciate silence as the language of God.

Briji is a mother, business woman, spiritual director and is doing an MA in Pastoral Theology. She has had a life-long interest in the contemplative tradition. She leads retreats, teaches meditation and is a member of The World Community for Christian Meditation.
