Led by: Karen Wellman
When we pray we instinctively use our bodies because as children we were taught to put our hands together and shut our eyes. What if we could develop that early learning, not just for those times when there are no words, but bringing all of ourselves into prayer?
In this workshop, we will explore prayer without words. We will examine how our bodies can deepen our connection with God during prayer, and learn how to use physical gestures and movements to enhance the prayer experience. We will also explore the barriers that prevent us from bringing our whole selves into prayer. Through reflective practices and experiential learning, we will build a toolkit of embodied prayers that can be used when words fail.
Starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm. Please bring a packed lunch.
Cost: £35
Cost including B&B: £110
