“What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.”
(W. H. Davies, “Leisure”)
A quiet morning for anyone who finds it hard to stop, or who feels life has become a little out of balance. It is easy to believe that our worth depends on how much we do. Yet true leisure is not idleness, nor simply a break before more work. It is an inner stillness and openness: the capacity to receive the world, and each moment of our lives, as gift. Like the Sabbath, it is rooted in wonder, gratitude and worship, a space where we stop striving and simply let God be God. Through gentle input and space for prayer and reflection, we will explore the art of paying attention and how we might find God in our work as well as our rest.
Starts at 10am and finishes at 1pm.
Cost: £20
